At Christopher Michael Photo, weddings are more than events—they are timeless stories told through heartfelt imagery. As a professional Virginia Wedding Photographer, I focus on capturing each unique love story with creativity, emotion, and attention to detail. Jacqueline Mitchell and TJ Ellis’s wedding at Historic Rosemont Springs in Berryville, Virginia was the perfect example of how thoughtful planning and authentic photography come together to create unforgettable memories.
Historic Rosemont Springs is a stunning wedding venue offering both elegant manor spaces and charming barn-style event areas. Its combination of classic architecture and rustic charm set the stage for Jacqueline and TJ’s dream wedding. With lush greenery, scenic views, and versatile photo opportunities, Rosemont Springs is one of Northern Virginia’s most sought-after wedding locations—perfect for couples looking for a Virginia Wedding Photographer who understands both grand and intimate settings.
Nine months before the wedding, a phone consultation set everything into motion. During this call, we reviewed affordable wedding photography packages, including options with a second photographer. This is something I always emphasize—having two photographers ensures complete coverage, especially during important pre-ceremony moments when both the bride’s and groom’s parties are getting ready in separate locations.
On Jacqueline and TJ’s wedding day, I focused on the bride and bridesmaids as they prepared for the ceremony, while my second shooter documented the groom’s party. Many bridal party portraits were captured before the ceremony, allowing the couple to enjoy more of their reception with fewer post-ceremony formal photos. Whether couples choose a first look or keep the traditional aisle reveal, this approach ensures a stress-free timeline and more time to celebrate.
As their Virginia Wedding Photographer, I positioned myself close to the couple during the ceremony to capture intimate moments, while my second photographer provided wide-angle and telephoto perspectives for a dynamic wedding gallery. After the ceremony, one photographer focused on family portraits while the other captured candid moments from cocktail hour. This teamwork meant nothing was missed and allowed for beautiful, natural storytelling throughout the day.
Included in their wedding package was an engagement session—a chance for Jacqueline and TJ to get comfortable in front of the camera and experience my photography style. This session builds trust and ensures a relaxed flow on the wedding day.

These steps ensured I arrived on their wedding day fully prepared and familiar with family members and event flow.
Jacqueline and TJ chose a package that offered comprehensive coverage, personalized planning, and stress-free execution. They knew that photography wasn’t just about capturing a wedding day—it was about preserving moments with the people who matter most. My approach combines journalistic storytelling with creative portraiture, ensuring that every smile, every tear, and every shared glance is documented with care.
What sets my work apart is not just technical skill, but the heart behind the lens. I believe weddings are as much about the relationships surrounding the couple as they are about the couple themselves. From parents seeing their child in wedding attire for the first time, to grandparents embracing grandchildren, to the joy of lifelong friends celebrating together—these are the emotional touchstones I seek to capture.
Whether I’m photographing a rustic Virginia barn wedding, an elegant manor celebration, or an intimate elopement, my goal as a Virginia Wedding Photographer remains the same: to tell a story that’s rich in connection, rooted in authenticity, and filled with the kind of beautiful, unrepeatable moments that only family can bring.
This is more than photography—it’s about honoring legacy, celebrating love, and creating images that your family will treasure for generations.
